Drawings for me, particularly in pencil or ink in one color, are the most
honest, and most revealing art media. The quality and character of lines is
the artist's character. This, with a range of shades of same color, is the
only tool in this media to express yourself and make the artwork believable.
For the same reason It's the most difficult media.
I prefer pencil for stand alone pieces. Black ink I use sometimes in
combination with other media. Usually, I don't like the contrast between
white paper and the blackness of the ink.
Personally, I still love the works of the old masters Da Vinci and
Michelangelo - call me old fashioned... They are the greatest anyway.
